As we find ourselves well into winter, Performance School of the Arts has many fun events coming up!
We are excited to announce that we will be holding an Open House at the school with free workshops, cotton candy and other fun surprises! Friends and family are encouraged to participate. Please sign up with the front desk in advance at (518) 383-5255 extension 5 to reserve a space in any workshops you would like to participate in; this helps us have enough supplies on hand.
With 2013 Piano NYSSMA quickly approaching, we also want to remind participants that we will be holding preparatory workshops and masterclasses. Please read further down for more information and to see workshop/masterclass dates.
2013 Piano NYSSMA Prep
This year’s piano NYSSMA festival will be held on March 8th & 9th at the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. Throughout February and March we will be holding preparatory workshops. Please make your best effort to attend. As a reminder, students should be diligent in their practicing and preparation.
Scale and Sight Reading Clinic: Wednesday, February 27th – 7:30pm
Solo Piano Master Class: Friday, March 1st – 7:00pm & Saturday, March 2nd – 4:00pm
Upcoming Events...
Celtic Music Jam - March 2013
A short presentation and demo of a variety of Irish instruments will be provided, followed by hands on opportunity to try out the instruments. Families get to play in a live Celtic jam session to conclude the evening. Stay tuned for more details on this very exciting annual event!
