Piano NYSSMA Workshops

Piano students preparing for the NYSSMA solo festival in March are encouraged to attend as many workshops as possible to supplement their work in private lessons. Please see the front desk staff to sign up!
  • February 3rd, Scaling Bee & Sight Reading Clinic, 7:00 PM
  • February 13th, Rhythm Workshop, 3:00 PM
  • February 27th, Solo Piece Master Class, 3:00 PM

February Student of the Month

Music: Sophie Xu

"Sophie is an excellent student and a hard worker.  She practices regularly every day and is working hard to master her Level 3 NYSSMA pieces, perfect her scales, and learn other new pieces each week!  She loves to surprise me by going ahead in her method books and learning new pieces which I haven't assigned yet! I am so proud of her!"

"Owen always comes to class displaying great enthusiasm and intent for the lesson of the day.  He is a very attentive student who works diligently to learn how to use new materials and techniques.  Owen is a pleasure to have in class."
